The Optimal Sleep Course

This is the part of the course with which I was most impressed. It presents 5 ‘keys’ as follows:-

  • Key 1 - The Secrets of Sleep Waves
  • Key 2 - Supercharge your Days and Deepen Your Nights
  • Key 3 - Take Control Over Your Sleep
  • Key 4 - Get Rid of the Sleep Enemies
  • key 5 - Nap Your Way to productivity and Peak energy

There is far to much material in these courses for me to present it all here, but I will give you a basic idea of each, and show you the extent of that content. It’s important to note that you don’t have to read or listen through all of this to get the benefits of the audio SleepTracks, but the lessons you will learn here will make a huge difference and help you to develop all the right habits to ensure sound sleep. I’m re-watching each of these right now and enjoying it hugely. Here’s a few brief insights:-

Key 1 - The Secrets of Sleep Waves


On this presentation there are 32 narrated slides. Every slide has a talk-through narration explaining every detail. These items some of the topics covered:-

  • Taking control over your sleep
  • The sleep-wake cycle
  • Sleep pressure
  • The role of Melatonin (NOT a product sell)
  • Stages of Sleep

Extensive, ready made notes and a search facility are built into each slide. This is a wonderful resource for learning and checking as you progress through the sleep course.

Key 2 - Supercharge Your Days and Deepen your Nights


Key 2 is all about the ways we prevent ourselves from sleeping and how to change the behavior that damages our sleep so badly. There are 23 slides and some of the topics covered are:-

  • Bad Habits
  • How we’re not evolved or designed to live indoors
  • The effects of light and how to use them
  • The effects of age and how to overcome them
  • The effects of water
  • How to break the ‘can’t sleep’ vicious circle

I found this section illuminating, but basically common sense, and so I listened only once, but it was definitely useful.

Key 3 - Take Control Over Your Sleep


For me at least, this was the most useful of all the keys; it contains excellent information and instruction of the following aspects of sleeping well:-
