---Latest News from the sleepless world of Insomniactive Productions---
Back to the action:
Finished up the Nature Conservancy video project, and I'm very happy with the end-result. Mostly it was an issue of taking still photos, scanning them, importing them into Flash to create motion (panning, zooming, etc.), and then assembling the photos into a final video in Premiere. Fun fun fun fun fun.... Not really. Actually, it was very tedious and time consuming, but the end product was very nice (99% owing to
Beth Young's beautiful photography), and hopefully the video will suit the cause for which it was commissioned.
Work has begun on a few new sites -- one for my brother's band
Catchfire (not my design -- this is their old site that is eventually being replaced), another for a friend of a friend (a very challenging site involving some interesting e-commerce that I never would have imagined dealing with). Not much else in the wonderful world of code, but I'm always up for more, if anyone wants to send some my way...
I wrote a few articles for an upcoming issue of PRIVATE AIR, and have been approached about a Contributing Editor postion, writing about electronics, computers, A/V equipment, and other tech toys. Should be returning to a few things for Birmingham Weekly shortly as well, if only to keep my pen in shape.
GOOD MORNING APOCRYPHA is still in pre-production, for those who wonder. I know you're out there.
Ditto the new Avery Ellis disc.
But in the meantime, my creative energies are available for hire, so drop me a line and put me to work.
