Wednesday, November 24, 2004:  Closing out the year

Yes, it's a bit early to proclaim the year over, but in terms of projects here at Insomniactive Central, I'm bucking the trend of waiting until December.

By this time next month, I'll have at least mostly completed the Nature Conservancy presentation, started actual production on GOOD MORNING, APOCRYPHA, and retooled all the websites currently under my control. Hopefully, the Exhibit(s) will make it into the studio to start work on our next disc before 2005 (we already have 2 full discs worth of well-worthy material, so it's just a matter of getting down to Walon's and starting the tracking).

It's been a good year for web design, and hopefully next year will only get better. Plenty of irons in the fire, and plenty more ideas to back those irons up.

Oh, yeah -- new site look, and the addition of a few pieces of work. Hopefully, more to come shortly.

Wednesday, November 10, 2004:  Back up to speed

Spent the last weekend doing the third Sidewalk Scramble -- will know by the end of the week how that turns out (competitively, at least). Overall, it was a logistical nightmare, as expected -- had to teach myself to edit using Vegas at the last minute, since Premiere crapped out on me, and the shooting schedule left not nearly as much coverage as I would have hoped. But in the end, I think it turned out excellent, all things considered. I'm definitely very happy with the end result.

After recovering from that, I spent the past 24 hours working on a site for Neely Harris -- Kerry Condolences. I'm mostly apolitical, so there was no appeal to my patriotic or Anti-Bush spirit on this one -- I just thought it was damned funny. You will, too.

Next up -- a new website for Private Air Magazine, in theory, and a film for the Nature Conservancy. And December looks to be the month to get filming of GOOD MORNING, APOCRYPHA underway...
